No! Our Fitness Breaks are open to everyone subject to any specific conditions detailed in the description.
Yes you’ll soon get to know anyone else on the trip and we make a big effort to ensure everyone feel welcome and comfortable from long before you even land in Namibia!
Yes we offer a 10% discount to anyone sharing either a twin room or double room. These are subject to availability so please contact us to confirm.
We can usually accommodate minor injuries and niggles with exercise adaptation but you should contact us to give us more information so we can assess your suitability to the planned workouts.
Travel options for each trip will be provided on booking.
Whilst we often travel together from the UK it is your responsibility to arrive before the indicated pick-up time should you wish to travel elsewhere before or you’re coming from another location.
Ideally you will be capable of running or run/walking 3km and have experience of circuit training and high-intensity interval trainings.
We’ll send you a suggested 8 week program in the build up to your Fitness Break but you’re welcome to use other training methods and can check with us to see if it’s suitable.
Workouts will entail a mixture of outdoor circuits, boxing and movement/yoga which can all be adapted according to strength and fitness levels.
The food at Okonjima is amazing, highly nutritious and nearly all is freshly prepared by the chef at your accommodation.
Plant-based options are available but please inform us of your choices and/or allergies before your trip.
Yes you can either pay up-front or make 3-4 payments depending when you register.
A 25% deposit is required immediately to book your space.
You must bear the cost of arriving at Windhoek airport and returning home.
Any personal purchases and food/drink en route to Okonjima is also your responsibility.
All other transport and your training, food and coaching is included.
You may like to bring some cash for memento purchases at Okonjima, snacks en route to Okonjima and tipping staff at the lodge.
All payments are non-refundable due to our booking requirements with Okonjima.
If we are able to transfer your booking or find a replacement, we may do this but each decision will be assessed individually and our decision is final.
You should consult your GP regarding vaccinations for Namibia at the time of travel as they are liable to change.
Yes you should take out your own travel and/or health insurance as Storm Force Fitness Breaks are not covered beyond our business insurance requirements.
Any trip to the African wilderness comes with a degree of risk but everything is carefully managed by the highly-experience staff at Okonjima.
We will go into areas where wild cats and other dangerous animals room freely but if you follow the guides’ instructions, you are highly unlikely to get eaten.
A list of recommended clothing, workout gear etc will be provided when your space is confirmed.
Wifi is available in all accommodation at Okonjima but data/signal is highly limited and non-existent in most places once we leave the accommodation for training, animal tracking etc.
This is a good thing – enjoy the best nature has to offer!
